I’ve learned a couple of things over these last couple of weeks. One is that I like blogging on a topic related ot the comic rather than rehashing what the comic is about. Now looking at this comic there’s a couple of spins I could take. I could talk about the duality of man and two sides to every coin. It’s a little late and I’m a little tired for something that deep. I could go on a tangent about people’s deranged and irrational fears. I have a couple of parrots–man people that are afraid of birds are hilarious when they come over. They won’t stand near the cages and they’ll assure you that the bird is always looking at them. Side note I’ve been trying to teach my African Grey to say ‘What what? In the butt’ for about two months now and all he has down is the “What what” so he just sounds like he should be making a “raise the roof” motion while he says it.
Although I’d rather not discuss the comic in too much detail, this is kind of an homage to Bill Waterson and the Calvin and the Hobbes. Every couple of months Calvin would have a new cardboard box with a new dial on it. Either it would bring Future Calvin to the past so he could ask Past Calvin why his homework wasn’t done, or the box would just create Calvin clones. This was just a fun one not much to it, it is the first in a multipart series.
Another thing I’ve learned this week is that my friends are in fact awesome. We’ve got a lot of positive feed back and some pretty great numbers considering we’re only on our second week. Thanks for all the mentions for those of you who are posting about us. Please feel free to drop our comics in an email or on a forum, just make sure you’re linking to us.
In a show of thanks we’ve included a bonus comic that made the cutting room floor. It was just kind of eh, and I wasn’t sure if enough of you had read the first pre-launch comic about Ocean’s Eleven to make it worth posting. You’ll notice over on the top banner we’ve added an Extras section for this type of thing we hope to put some fun stuff for you guys there from time to time.

Kill that bastard twice for me Matt.
haha, I really liked the Extra comics
Extra comics FTW! It reminds me of someone……
Any reference to Calvin and Hobbes gets the thumbs up, possibly the greatest comic of all time.
Oh dear – Matt is the slow one in this comic, eh? I feel sorry for his room mate now…..
