Star Wars was definitely something many grew up with and continues to be a staple of influence for creatives through canon and non-canon stories and even more through bad ass characters and props. The costumes and props like the lightsaber are definitely a coveted iconic commodity and it’d probably be a fan’s wet dream to just step into the costumes and the universe that George Lucas has created. From Matt’s description of the photo-op for this display at PAX, I imagine it was a bit more impressive than what I’ve depicted. He described the fancy robes (disregarding the BO left by the previous participant) and even the on screen looking props for the lightsabers (minus the sweat and grease left by the enthusiasts) which even had a florescent bulb or some sort that would glow appropriately when the camera took the picture or allowed the Photoshop function to automatically produce the movie glow. This definitely would have been a must stop for me (GEEK!!! yes, but if you were at the event, you are probably a geek as well).

If you just starting checking out the comic or just started reading the blog, I don’t normally give my input or even write these things(aside from typo and grammar correction hours after the post has gone live). Matt normally handles all the talking and face time, unfortunately for you our readers you’re stuck with me for another couple of posts. Matt is still under the weather from the NERD PAX Virus (H1N1 – pig flu) I drew him “Porking a pork”, but he didn’t want that photo getting out. You can just enjoy the image in the extras about being aware about the swine flu. Obviously, Matt didn’t heed the warning on our card. Seriously folks, keep it kosher and no pigs for awhile maybe till after the flu season.
