Dear Saw Fans,
Let me start by saying I find Jigsaw to be as scary as he is in the above comic. Now let me ask, why 6 Saw Movies? Wasn’t chubby Cary Elwes enough in the first one? Do we really need vengeance on everyone? Isn’t it getting a little ridiculous? As a Saw fan, does this also make you a Final Destination Fan? It seems that watching a 10 or 15 minute montage of the last 2 minutes before everyone dies would be better than wasting your time in the actual movie. I love movie gore, and I’ve seen on the internet that these films do it well. I also love horror films, but these seem too mundane, nothing interesting to go along with my gore. Is there any reason to watch any of the Saw Movies? If so I’d like to hear, honestly I’ve never given any of them but the first a chance. I didn’t enjoy it because when you found out who the killer was, it was a surprise, but they were so unrelated to the story you didn’t care. And Cary Elwes as much as I love the guy in other things (Princess Bride, Men in Tights), was very wooden, also sweaty.
Skeptically Yours,
Matt
PS: <3 <3 I still love you even though you like them, we can agree to disagree.

I have only seen the first one and thought it was barely passable. I've seen a bunch of parts of other ones, but haven't really given them a chance. I'm skeptical, but open minded, I wanted to get a few opinions before I decided jump into a 12 hour franchise.
I just got my wife to watch Saw 2 and 3. She never wanted to see them before cuz she thought they were too scary and violent. I informed her that there was a great story behind the gore. She viewed the two fims and is now waiting for NetFlix to deliver 4 and 5. I liked 4 most of all, with 3 being my least favorite. I haven't seen 5, but I like Jigsaw's character and his back story is decent.
So there.
