If you haven’t been watching late night, NBC decided its time for TMZ to take over for Conan and Jay Leno. Nothing like celebrity gossip and in depth analysis to make for some great late night tv. Does anyone really care?
I actually enjoy both comedians, each have their own styles and both make me laugh. Its unfortunate for both Jay and Conan to get screwed by NBC’s meddling. I enjoyed Conan’s on the scene reporting with in your face and personal hi jinks while I liked Leno’s Jay Walking segments of course some of those people obviously give some stupid answers just to be on tv, but its still entertaining. What segments of their shows do you enjoy?

Until I can figure out how to post a second post in a day my Conan Blog will sit here:
Me on the other hand, I find Leno to be one of the most overrated comedians in recent memory. A few more of the old people that will actually watch Leno will either get interrupted in the middle of their bucket list or go to sleep an hour earlier every year. These are the people that don’t know what a DVR is or why they’d want one. It’s a dwindling demographic. They need to hustle out and go buy some Old Glory Robot insurance and leave the late night game to those of us with the constitution to stay awake.
Nbc, is saying that Conan isn’t getting his ratings, however there’s a DVR watching demographic that doesn’t fit in. If you record a show and don’t watch it for two days, it doesn’t factor into the ratings.
Tv’s been on it’s own schedule since it’s inception. Now that it’s on ours, we can get a lot more done, maybe you brought your work home, maybe you really need to photoshop huffing paint man again, maybe it’s just hanging out with friends either digitally or in the IRL. Tv sucks, and we’re not going back unless it’s on our terms. Going forward networks can either figure out how to market to us or die. We’ll go watch internet programing. Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog and the Guild, the first shots have already been fired. 10’s of million people play Farmville on Facebook. Imagine if Facebook decided to sponser semi decent shows mom could watch while rescueing the calves of her friends. Multitasking isn’t going away. You’re going to have to find a different way to sell ads. Tv commercials don’t cut it anymore. We fast forward through them. I know it’s putting the cart before the horse to demand good programming without commercials. But the cart is overclocked and liquid cooled. I can watch Sliders reruns, masturbate to porn and play Bejeweled, possibly at the same time, and definately without getting up.

either TMZ doesn't know that bagels have a hole in the center, or you don't
You caught me! In my defense I had a bagel while I drew a bagel. When I scanned the bagel drawing to my computer, my desktop wallpaper was actually bagel filled. Then when I realized I was supposed to draw a bagel, I googled "bagel" and clicked on images to makes sure I knew exactly what a bagel looked like, while still eating a cheese bagel later in the evening. Then after posting the comic I had my way with an egg bagel and that hole in the middle really made the night worthy of the bagel one night stand records, afterwards I ate that sourdough bagel. I think I'm gonna go and get another bagel.
BAGEL!!!!!
You better bring me a bagel when I see you, so I can make sure I know what a bagel is. Bagel.
Maybe it is a muffin after all.
Does Zeretuel's bagel suit have a hole in it?
Of course! Thats how he gets paid….
lol @ the TMZ folks. Great drawing.
heh thanks! the chick probably needs taller hair to be more ridiculous… and the dude probably should have those tribal tats, but i'm confident that I pretty much got the gist of these guys.
Love the strip, however you fail at spelling names correctly. It's O'Brien!
Is that Straight Face guy not having a Straight Face????????? THE SKY IS FALLING!!!
Nice job at the Conan caricature! And I can't wait for Monday's strip. Hee-hee….
