Having watched the series and becoming engrossed not only in the characters, but the unique use of all these varying mythos references made the series so much more captivating. I’m glad this series got to their end, especially in these days of television shows with great starts and then failing. I was actually content with the finale in terms of character development and conclusion. I know there are many loose ends, but that gives fans the ability to imagine even after the series has completed. I also know its been a few days since the finale, but… *SPOILER ALERT* Everyone dies. Everyone is hungry for more answered questions, but do you really want another midichlorian explanation? Let the mystery of the show and your imagination run wild in those fan fiction produced goods.
If you didn’t watch the show at least watch the pilot for an interesting way to start a drama. Although I find the way JJ Abrams starts a story with the action first is a predictable formula (he’s been using it for last couple of films) it was still a smooth transition from action to story reminiscent of Pulp Fiction.
As a side note, JJ Abrams didn’t have a hand in production of the series since the very early stages of the show, but I think his theme of “love and companionship” bridges across his Felicity days affecting everything he touches. If images of hearts could be placed all over this blog, I’d do it.
Be it hoax or real, there is a Joaquin Phoenix Documentary circling Cannes. It’s been quoted as having “More male frontal nudity than a lot of gay porn.” and someone dropping a Cleveland Steamer on the late great Joaquin. As much as Donald loves drawing balls and dude junk in general, even we have to draw the line somewhere. I hope you enjoy the two girls one cup reaction video approach here.
*We’re aware of the double this typo in the first panel. Thanks!
ABDOMINALS!!!
If you haven’t seen any of the recent Old Spice commercials, you should. Thank goodness we can just link these here directly for your viewing pleasure.

“I’m not a Jedi because I like the hum of the lightsaber in my hand…and I’m not a Jedi because I like being a Jedi. I’m a Jedi because the Galaxy needs Jedi.” This quote is from one of the many stories in the Starwars universe that fits quite nicely for the comic above. Whats your favorite ‘Jedi’ quote?
Horray! It has been one year since Straight Face Comics has launched! Just as messy and just as disgusting as a one year old except we can write our names.

THRILLER VIDEO
STARWARS KID
This marks the first time Don’s wet the bed and had a reasonable excuse for it.
This weekend I was in a charity poker tournament to benefit Leukemia it was a small thing we raised like 700$ (It was a fairly small event held at the houses of one of my coworkers) I tied for 4th. I had the bad beats 2 of them that really devastated my game. However to raise a couple hundred extra bucks my boss offered to shave his head. This man wasn’t drunk he was serious about solving Leukemia, shave his head serious.
We all cope with loss in different ways, some of us make 6 foot tall effogies out of human hair. What? Like you’ve never lied and told someone that the baby was theirs just so you could keep them even though you’d never had sex like Carlton’s girlfriend on the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. You have no right to judge, I bet you were Carlton’s girlfriend.
Jeremy imagines the darndest things when he has tiger teeth in his brains. Don bet me I couldn’t kill off all three of our main characters in one month, I have one more comic to do it in and we all know Don is the most susceptible to death. Plus I need to get him to the afterlife anyway or I can’t get paid.
Ever get that feeling that you should try new things? Sometimes “new” things can be surprisingly awesome and other times it can be a terrible, terrible idea. I’m more of the mentality that new things should be experienced, to help you learn and grow. These experiences help you to make decisions in life, like when not to run after that ball in the street during heavy traffic time or when not to throw eggs at houses when your neighbor is outside watering their lawn (unless you run much faster). If its an experience that probably won’t threaten your life, you’ll probably be safe trying it at least once (I’m not talkin’ about anal, but if you were thinkin’ it…). Go out of your comfort zone at least once in all aspects of your life, but in moderation. “Moderation” is the key, even if it was a “bad” experience just a little bit of the challenge/situation probably won’t have an extreme impact that would send you to the hospital.
Try the exotic food, but don’t swallow everything (unless you’re into that… I haven’t tasted it but I’m pretty sure its sweet like the candy I eat). Go watch a hockey game, you may find something almost as exciting/interesting as a football game (not soccer, you janky brits). Listen to some Rap or Country, or even the oldies, it may make your ears bleed but you can honestly say you don’t like that kind of genre. Take a dance class or try yoga, even if you’re totally beat I’m pretty sure there will be something worth the effort. Ripping one in any of the classes during the silent moments could be embarrassing, but if you’re only gonna be there once anyway then who cares. I got a good chuckle after getting a good whiff of that deadly cloud and the look on people’s faces as it diffused through the class. (I haven’t been back, but the memory of their faces… priceless).
Good luck on trying new things. If you haven’t tried anything new, what kinds of experiences would you like to try if you weren’t set on not trying anything new? If you have gone out and been adventurous, what was it and what was your experience like?
